Testbed@NCKU is a Hybrid Network Testbed with Heterogeneous Nodes:

Hosts for Virtual Nodes

• 1 Cisco Catalyst 4510 Switch

• VMWare based Nodes (under-developing) on 3 Cisco UCS Servers (pc2000v), consisting of:

  • Dual 2.00GHz Intel Xeon E5-2620 processors.

  • 64GB DDR3 RDIMM.

  • Based on the Cisco UCS C240 M3 server platform.

• Xen based Nodes on 4 HP Servers (pc3300v), consisting of:

  • 3.3GHz Intel E3-1230v3 processor.

  • 20GB DDR3 ECC UDIMM.

  • Based on the HP ProLiant DL320e Gen8 v2 server platform.

• Xen/KVM based Nodes (in the future) on 8 HP Servers (pc2000x), consisting of:

  • Dual 2GHz AMD Opteron 6128 processors.

  • 64GB DDR3 RDIMM.

  • Based on the HP ProLiant DL165 G7 server platform.

Real Nodes

• 1 Cisco Catalyst 4506 Switch (Control Plane)

• 3 Cisco Catalyst 4510 Switch (Data Plane) with 10GE Backbone

• Portwell NAR5060-621 Nodes (pc2800), consisting of:

  • 2.8GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor.

  • 1GB DDR UDIMM.

  • 6 GbE NIC ports .

  • 80GB 7200RPM SATA2 hard drive.

• MSI MS-9241-TE Nodes (pc1860), consisting of:

  • 1.86GHz Intel Celeron M 440 processor.

  • 1GB DDR UDIMM.

  • 6 GbE NIC ports .

  • 160GB 7200RPM SATA2 hard drive.

• MSI MS-9241 Nodes (pc1660), consisting of:

  • 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 processor.

  • 2GB DDR UDIMM.

  • 6 GbE NIC ports .

  • 320GB 7200RPM SATA2 hard drive.

• Caswell CAR-3000 Nodes (pc2600), consisting of:

  • 2.50GHz Intel E5200 processor.

  • Based on the Casewll CAR-3000 platform.

  • 2GB DDR3 UDIMM.

  • 6 GbE NIC ports .

  • 250~320GB 7200RPM SATA2 hard drive.
